Boundless Grace

Another lesson I really enjoyed teaching this semester was about families!

We started by reading this book:

Then we talked about how it is ok to be different, and ok to have different family structures. After some discussion, we agreed that we don't all have to have a "mom, a dad, a brother, a sister, a dog, and a cat" to make a family, as Grace seemed to think in the story.

Grace also says in the story that she wishes there were books about families like hers. We drew pictures of our families and wrote about them. We put all of our family drawings together and bound them, so that we would have a book about families like ours to look at!

Some of us have small families...

....and some have big families!
